She had the students select a person they most admired and each wrote a letter to that person

Roy Smith and his Attorney John Holland came to visit and spent the day with the classes.

Attorney John Holland said they received hundreds of letters asking Roy why he didn't attack the men who abused him.
Mr. Holland said the students of Jeanie's classes were "the only ones who got it."
He complimented Jeanie for teaching tolerance and understanding.
Roy answered questions for the entire day and asked the name of every student and greeted each one individually.
